Dear Senior Parents,
This year’s Ocean View High School Grad Night Party will be held at Speed Zone-City of Industry. Grad Night will be held from 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 until 5:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009. The purpose of Grad Night is to provide a safe, sober and drug free environment for our graduating seniors.
Speed Zone will be closed to the public for our private party. Our graduates will have unlimited use of Age-Appropriate Rides -Top Eliminator Dragsters, Grand Prix, Slick Trax, Speedway Golf, Electric Alley (featuring state of the art video and simulator games). Also included: Las Vegas Casino with gaming tables, make your own Rock Video, and Air Brush Tattoo Artists. A variety of food and beverages for the graduates will be provided throughout the evening.
The total cost of this memorable event is estimated to be $30,000. The Grad Night Committee hopes you will take advantage of the discounted ticket price of $85.00 in order that we can plan accordingly and make deposits for additional entertainment. Grad Night tickets will sell for $85.00 until February 27, 2009. Ticket prices will increase to $95.00 on March 1 through April 17. After April 18th tickets will be sold for $110.00. Tickets purchased after May 1 must be in CASH ONLY. The enclosed permission slip signed by both the student and parent/guardian MUST accompany all payments. Please mail the payment to OVHS Grad Night, 17071 Gothard St., Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Grad Night representatives will also be on campus second semester to accept payment and answer any questions.
All graduates must check into the Ocean View Warner Avenue parking lot for bus transportation to Speed Zone, as no student will be allowed to enter Speed Zone who has not taken our bus. All graduates must bring their OVHS photo ID to check-in.
Throughout the school year, there will be various fundraisers planned. Watch for dates in your newsletter, on the marquee and on the ovhs.info website. Please join in one or more of these events to support our graduating seniors. This is an important way each family can help support Grad Night 2009.
All parents are invited to attend the Grad Night committee meetings held at 7:00 p.m. in the OVHS Staff Lounge the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Please come with your ideas, suggestions and friends and help support Grad Night 2009. The meeting dates are: October 8, November 12, December 10, January 14, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, and June 3.
If we all work together, we can make this a memorable event for our 2009 graduating senior class.
